Nearly 35,000 Emirates flights were operated to 130 destinations this summer, carrying more than 10 million passengers. The airline also ramped up operations to serve customer demand during this busy period. This included reinstating daily services to London Stansted, and expanding flights to 33 cities on popular routes across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In addition, the airline is also being expanded to popular vacation spots like the Seychelles, Maldives, Mexico and Miami.

Emirates airline carried over 10 million passengers this summerEmirates added Tel Aviv to its global network in June, and in July it added a third daily flight to London Gatwick to serve Heathrow passengers. Emirates operates 32 signature lounges across its network, including 25 dedicated lounges at major airports, to offer frequent flyers and premium travelers a comfortable place to rest and refresh. In nearly all cities it serves, the airline has also reinstated its trademark complimentary chauffeur-driven airport transfers for First and Business Class passengers.

During the summer months, more than 3.8 million travelers across the network conveniently checked-in online and via the Emirates App; over 500,000 travelers utilized Dubai Terminal 3’s 22 self-service check-in kiosks and 38 baggage drop facilities. Over 11,000 passengers opted for Emirates’ free home check-in services, skipping the airport check-in queue entirely and proceeding straight to immigration.

Emirates continues to expand its network and capacity as travel restrictions ease. Currently, the airline is running at 74 percent of its pre-pandemic capacity, and by the end of the year, it hopes to increase that to 80 percent. The airline will also install its latest onboard products on 120 aircraft in November as part of a $2 billion retrofit program.
